From 2022 to 2025, Jose served as Chief Executive Officer of Meow Wolf, where he led the company’s transformation from an immersive arts collective into a multidimensional storytelling and IP platform. Under his leadership, Meow Wolf expanded into new major markets including Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, with future flagships planned for Los Angeles and New York. He championed transmedia storytelling, launched digital and mobile initiatives, and secured strategic partnerships to scale the brand’s creative and commercial reach. During his tenure, Meow Wolf achieved B-Corp recertification, reinforcing its commitment to social impact and sustainability, making it the first and only certified B Corp in themed entertainment. In 2024, the company was named one of Fast Company’s World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, affirming its growing influence on the future of culture and experience.
Prior to Meow Wolf, Jose spent over a decade at Viacom and ViacomCBS, holding global leadership roles across strategy, operations, and transformation. As Chief Transformation Officer, he led the integration of two major media companies, aligning enterprise-wide innovation and strategic growth. As COO of Viacom International Media Networks, he oversaw operations across 180 countries, driving expansion in both mature and emerging markets.
Jose holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Ballet Hispánico, and as a member of the Board of Advisors at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, where his commitment to equity, creativity, and leadership development continues to shape the next generation.
